Two decades ago, a serving Minister in Nigeria, who albeit, didn't realize how gifted he was spiritually, predicted the present global economic mess, when he said argued that the masses were yet to eat from the refuse bin. Today, the reality is here. People walk down our streets with a side-way gait, because cramp has locked their rib-bones in a wicked grip of practised hunger. Food now grow on refuse bins. Now a matter of fact. People eke their living from refuse bins. The environmental disturbance resulting from pollution is a grave issue. Health hazards unthinkable. To assuage the cyclic effect of poverty, young men and women resorted to advance fee fraud (419) and prostitution. Parents who do not possess a car are ridiculed by the noise of their children's questioning silence. If they are spared the questions at all. All for what?
